#RogersCup #Montreal is the oldest tournament in all of the tennis and the Canadian Open’s men’s competition is a Masters 1000 event on the Association of the Tennis Professionals tour and the women’s competition is a Premier 5 tournament on the #WomensTennisAssociation. These competitions were held on the hard courts.
This #tournament held alternate from the year to year between the cities of Montreal and Toronto. The men’s tournament was held in Montreal and women’s tournament was held in Toronto. These competitions were held in the separate weeks in July and August period but these two competitions were held in the same week in August. The Toronto tournament was held at Aviva Center and the Montreal tournament is held at IGA Stadium.
The current champions are Simona Halep in the #womenssingle category in 2018 and Ashleigh Barty, Demi Schuurs were the champions in the #womensdoubles category in 2018. Sloane Stephens is the runner up in the women’s singles category and Latisha Chan, Ekaterina Makarova were the runner up’s in the women’s doubles category.
