Dundas Tennis Club

 Welcome to 2008!

Whether you are a first time member or a returnee, we look forward to welcoming you to the fresh air, warmth and friendly competition that our tennis club is known for.

This year, we have lots of programs and activities planned for you and your family to enjoy.

Registration will be held at the Community Centre on Saturday, February 23 and March 1 from 9:30 am to 1 pm at the Dundas Community Centre on Market St at the corner of Hatt St. In addition there will be registration on Saturday May 3rd, all day, at the Dundas Tennis Club. Executive members will be able to answer any questions you may have.

The year kicks off on Saturday May 3rd with Fun Day. There will be youth lessons, games, drinks, snacks and barbeque for our youth members at a modest cost. For adult members, in the evening, there will be a get-together with games and of course mixed doubles tennis.

We are embarking on a relationship with Courtmasters Tennis Professionals. Marcela Mackesy, will be our prime tennis professional. New tennis clinic and tennis 101 (for beginners and prospective new members) will be offered. Junior clinics and junior camps will continue to be offered with minor variations from previous years. We are pleased to report that Graham Venus is returning, now as Club Manager.

Last year we had healthy growth in our membership and increased involvement in a number of new ventures such as facility and court rentals, the Debbie Thurley Memorial Tournament etc. Again this year the Debbie Thurley tournament will be graciously organized by Mischa Mackesy of Courtmasters on Saturday August 2.

Joining the tennis club is easy. Simply print off and complete the application form from this website. Complete the form and either mail it in to the contacts given or bring it down to one of the registration dates noted above.

To further develop our Junior program and encourage more youth to join the club, the individual Junior registration fee has been reduced from $75 to $50 per person !!! Some great savings for your family!

Shirlie Eden, has volunteered to act as the Dundas Club Archivist. So if you have any information or memorabilia on the club, contact Shirlie at 905 627-3395 or Shirlieden.38@cogeco.ca

There will be the ever popular Friday mixed doubles social evenings, free junior lessons, free adult lessons, men’s and ladies and mixed round robins, club tournaments and year-end banquet. Look for more information on this website We have a nice relaxed club with a great atmosphere and we look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you.
